Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the proper and safe condition of all plant, plant rooms, equipment, and work areas.
- Adhere to all Fire, Life, Health, Safety, Security & Environment (FLHSS&E) standards.
- Be familiar with and ready to act upon the hotel’s emergency procedures.
- Respond as part of the Emergency Response Team when required.
- Provide courteous, professional service when interacting with guests, patrons, and colleagues.
- Support and assist guests, patrons, and colleagues as needed, ensuring their needs are met.
- Perform tasks according to the hotel’s planned maintenance programme.
- Keep all log books and records up to date and accurate.
- Assist with technical advice and maintain high engineering standards.
- Set up audio and video equipment for functions and events.
- Contribute actively to energy conservation and control initiatives.
- Liaise with other departments and contractors to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor and address repair work for outstanding work orders related to guest rooms and public areas.
- Oversee and assess the performance and efficiency of building and department systems.
- Organize repairs for electronic, microprocessors, and computer-controlled equipment.
- Suggest alterations and improvements to systems and operations to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications
- Minimum higher certificate in Building Services, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other related fields.
- Electrical Worker License, Grade ‘A’ is an advantage.
- Fire Tube Boiler License and knowledge of engineering plants and boilers are a plus.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a similar technical role.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in maintenance-related software.
- Proficient in spoken and written Cantonese/Chinese, with basic knowledge of English.
- Ability to work independently and handle high-pressure situations effectively.
