Are you passionate about creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces? Hawkes Bay Golf Club is looking for a dedicated Greenkeeper to join our grounds team. This full-time role is your chance to apply your skills at our prestigious 18-hole championship course in Hastings, Central Hawkes Bay, where your work will directly enhance the experience for our members and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
Your expertise will be key in preserving the quality and playability of our course. Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Performing all aspects of turf maintenance, from mowing and aeration to spraying, fertilising, and seeding.
- Preparing the course daily, which involves cutting holes, setting tee markers, raking bunkers, and presenting hazards.
- Monitoring turf health, identifying issues like pests or disease, and applying appropriate treatments.
- Safely operating, maintaining, and cleaning a range of greenkeeping machinery and tools.
- Assisting with irrigation system operation, adjustment, and minor repairs.
- Maintaining bunkers, pathways, water features, landscaping, and practice areas to a high standard.
- Supporting course renovation projects and improvement initiatives.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of our course management plan.
- Ensuring meticulous upkeep of all areas, including around the clubhouse, under trees, and the driving range.
- Following strict health and safety procedures and maintaining accurate records of your work.
Qualifications
We are looking for a reliable professional with a strong work ethic and a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Greenkeeper or in a similar turf maintenance role within golf or landscaping.
- Solid knowledge of golf course maintenance techniques, best practices, and machinery operation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- A commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety and course presentation.
- The flexibility to work within a 7-day operational roster, including weekends.
- A relevant qualification in horticulture or turf management is advantageous but not essential.
