 Key Responsibilities

As the Grocery 2IC, you will be the right hand to our Grocery Manager, playing a pivotal role in the daily success of our grocery, liquor, and general merchandise departments.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with the Grocery Manager to plan and coordinate all day-to-day operations, ensuring a seamless shopping experience.
  • Leading, motivating, and developing our grocery team, ensuring they are well-trained and empowered to provide exceptional service.
  • Managing stock levels, overseeing merchandising plans, and ensuring our shelves are always well-presented and fully stocked.
  • Building strong relationships with customers and the wider store team to foster a collaborative environment.
  • Maintaining a strong focus on safety and well-being for both staff and customers.
  • Stepping up to lead the department and support other teams as needed.

Qualifications

We are looking for a reliable and self-motivated leader with a proven track record in retail. The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Proven experience in a retail supervisory or team leadership role.
  • Excellent people skills with the natural ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
  • Strong computer literacy and a keenness to work with the latest retail technology.
  • A reliable, proactive approach and a fantastic team-player attitude.
  • An LCQ and/or Manager’s Certificate, or the willingness to obtain one, is highly preferred.
  • Experience with SAP is advantageous, but full training will be provided.
