Key Responsibilities

Based out of our Leduc branch, you will be entrusted with the safe and efficient transport of critical equipment. Your core duties will include:

Safely operating a Kenworth tractor with specialized lowboy and multi-axle trailers to transport heavy and oversized loads across long distances.
Navigating cross-border routes between Edmonton, Alberta, and the Permian Basin in West Texas, adhering to all permits, regulations, and safety protocols.
Conducting thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, performing basic maintenance checks, and proactively reporting any mechanical concerns.
Safely loading, securing, and unloading equipment, utilizing winches and other tools as required.
Maintaining detailed electronic logs and using app-based systems for route and compliance management.
Ensuring the vehicle is kept clean, professionally presented, and refuelled at the end of each trip.
Representing TOR with the highest degree of professionalism in all customer and border interactions.

Qualifications

We are looking for a highly skilled and reliable professional who meets the following essential criteria:

Mandatory Requirements:

A valid Class 1 driver’s licence with a minimum of 5 years of professional driving experience and a clean driver’s abstract.
At least 3 years of verifiable cross-border heavy haul experience.
Legal eligibility to work in Canada (Citizen or Permanent Resident) and the legal right to enter the United States for work purposes.
A current criminal record check in good standing.
Experience with hydraulic platform trailers and a strong understanding of securing oversized/over-dimensional loads.
The ability to operate a forklift and maintain a clean-shaven appearance for safety equipment compliance.

Preferred Experience:

Direct oilfield winch truck operation experience.
A professional demeanor, strong teamwork skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
