Key Responsibilities

As a cornerstone of our support services team, your daily efforts keep our community running smoothly. Your core duties include:

  • Carrying out routine and deep-cleaning tasks for resident suites and common areas, including dusting, vacuuming, and floor care.
  • Handling laundry-related tasks such as changing bed linens and managing window coverings.
  • Maintaining a high standard of sanitation to ensure a healthy environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
  • Keeping your equipment and inventory carts organized and well-stocked throughout your shift.
  • Observing resident behavior and reporting any significant changes or concerns to the nursing staff to ensure proactive care.
  • Adhering to all safety protocols, including the correct use of supplies and participation in emergency drills.

Qualifications

We are looking for a reliable individual who is compassionate and detail-oriented. To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A Grade 10 education or an equivalent mix of training and life experience.
  • A valid WHMIS Certificate (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System).
  • The ability to communicate effectively in English, both in writing and speaking, to follow instructions and interact with residents.
  • Physical stamina to lift up to 30 lbs and perform tasks that involve bending, reaching, and standing for long periods.
  • A clear vulnerable sector Criminal Record Check, in line with provincial safety guidelines.
  • A First Aid Certificate is considered a great asset for this position.
