This is a pivotal role where your expertise will directly shape our projects and competitive edge. You’ll be responsible for delivering precise and compelling estimates for major landscaping works from the Sunshine Coast down to Ballina, working from our new Gold Coast office.

 Key Responsibilities

In this key position, you will be the cornerstone of our pre-construction process. Your core duties will involve:

• Preparing comprehensive and accurate cost estimates for commercial landscaping tenders, meticulously accounting for materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Conducting thorough site inspections to assess project scope, ground conditions, and potential logistical challenges.
• Collaborating closely with our design and project management teams to value-engineer solutions and optimise project feasibility.
• Liaising professionally with clients, consultants, and suppliers to clarify specifications and gather critical pricing information.
• Maintaining and updating cost databases and staying informed on market trends, material costs, and industry regulations.
• Utilising specialised software, including OST, to complete detailed take-offs and produce professional tender submissions.

Qualifications

We are looking for a proactive professional who combines technical knowledge with commercial acumen. The successful candidate will have:

• A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in commercial landscaping estimation.
• Strong proficiency in estimating software (OST experience is essential) and advanced spreadsheet applications.
• In-depth knowledge of landscaping materials, construction methodologies, and relevant Australian standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to deliver accurate work under pressure to meet tender deadlines.
• Relevant qualifications in horticulture, landscape construction, quantity surveying, or a related field.
