We are currently seeking a Laundry Attendant to join our team at Arcare Seven Hills. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining the facility’s laundry services, ensuring that residents have access to clean and well-maintained clothing, bed linens, and other fabric items.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens, clothing, towels, and other fabrics used by residents and staff.
• Regularly use, clean, and maintain laundry equipment such as washing machines and dryers.
• Maintain a system for lost and found items to ensure residents’ belongings are returned promptly.
• Ensure laundry operations are carried out efficiently and to high standards.
• Follow infection control and hygiene procedures at all times.
• Interact with residents in a friendly, compassionate manner, building positive relationships.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain a clean and organized laundry area.
• Report any equipment issues or supply needs to supervisors.
• Contribute to a positive team culture.

Qualifications

• Adaptable, passionate, and willing to learn.
• Collaborative and skilled at teamwork.
• Friendly and effective communication abilities.
• Previous laundry or cleaning experience in aged care, hospital, or similar environment is advantageous but not essential.
• Commitment to providing quality service to residents.
• Reliability and punctuality essential.
• Must have Australian Working Rights.
• Must have NDIS Worker Screening Check (or be willing to obtain).

Salary Range: Minimum $27.10 – $29.61 per hour (Queensland).
