Key Responsibilities
- Monitor pool areas and recreation facilities to ensure guest safety and respond immediately to emergencies using appropriate rescue techniques
- Promote facility rules and regulations while observing for dangerous conditions or unusual activities
- Provide assistance to injured guests until professional medical services arrive
- Maintain cleanliness of pool decks, including washing, mopping, and folding towels according to company procedures
- Report accidents, unsafe conditions, or incidents to supervisors promptly
- Support co-workers and uphold a professional, respectful, and collaborative workplace
- Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, respond quickly to emergency situations, and handle objects requiring lifting, pulling, or bending safely
- Comply with safety, quality, and operational standards, including proper use and inspection of tools, equipment, and machines
- Perform other reasonable duties as requested to support smooth operations and guest satisfaction
Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- CPR and First Aid Certification
- Fitness equipment training or certification as required by local and state regulations
- Strong observational skills, quick decision-making, and the ability to act calmly in emergencies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a hospitality team
- Physical capability to move, lift, and perform tasks required for pool supervision
