The Job
As a Van Driver, you’ll play a key role in ensuring customers receive their freight safely and on time.
- Full-time, permanent position with guaranteed weekly hours.
- Monday to Friday schedule, with overtime available when required.
- Transport general freight, completing pick-ups and deliveries within the Longreach and surrounding area.
- Manually load and unload parcels from the van, handling items up to 20kg.
- Complete daily vehicle inspections and necessary paperwork, including pre-start checks, run sheets, PODs, and logbooks.
- Follow established standards, guidelines, and procedures to ensure error-free output.
- Collaborate with a reliable and supportive team, contributing to a positive work environment.
Qualifications and Experience
We’re looking for a dependable, organized individual with strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
Essential Requirements:
- Current Manual C Class License.
- Ability to pass a criminal history check, pre-employment medical, and drug and alcohol test.
- Physical capability to repeatedly lift and carry parcels up to 20kg throughout the shift.
- Full working rights in Australia (must be Australian citizen, permanent resident, or hold a valid work visa).
- Strong attention to detail and focus on consistently delivering high-quality work.
- Ability to follow established procedures and work in a structured environment.
Preferred (But Not Essential):
- Previous experience in delivery driving or the transport industry.
- Familiarity with the Longreach area and surrounding regions.
