Key Responsibilities
You will be the go-to expert for maintaining our vital plant infrastructure. Your core duties will include:
- Performing preventive and corrective maintenance, installation, and calibration on a wide range of plant equipment, including furnaces, vacuum pumps, cooling towers, and control systems.
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting malfunctions in electrical, mechanical, electronic, and microprocessor-controlled equipment, often without standard manuals, using your judgment to devise solutions.
- Maintaining and repairing furnace components such as heaters, insulation, sensors, and control panels.
- Establishing and managing calibration systems for instruments and controllers to ensure ongoing accuracy and performance.
- Working independently from technical prints, sketches, and instructions, while also providing hands-on training and guidance to fellow technicians.
- Strictly adhering to all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) protocols, conducting thorough safety checks before job handover, and using appropriate PPE to ensure a safe workplace for yourself and colleagues.
Qualifications
We are looking for a qualified professional with the following:
- A minimum of a Higher NITEC/NTC2 in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, or Mechatronics, coupled with 2-3 years of relevant experience in machine or furnace maintenance. An ITC or Diploma in these fields is preferred.
- The ability to read, understand, and follow manufacturing operation sheets and standard procedures in English.
- Strong versatility across electrical, electronic, and mechanical engineering disciplines.
- A proactive, safety-first mindset with meticulous attention to detail.
While not mandatory, the following will be advantageous:
- A valid forklift license.
- Additional skills in PC operations, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, or general workshop practices.
