Key Responsibilities
As a Machine Operator at STERIS, you will be entrusted with operating machinery critical to producing life-saving medical devices. Your responsibilities will include:
- Setting up, operating, and continuously monitoring assembly and manufacturing equipment to produce parts within strict tolerances and quality standards.
- Replacing raw materials and performing in-process adjustments to ensure product specifications are consistently met.
- Using precision measuring instruments, gauges, and scales to perform quality checks and verify product conformity.
- Performing prescribed equipment cleaning and routine general maintenance tasks as scheduled.
- Strictly adhering to all STERIS Quality System policies, safety standards, and manufacturing procedures.
- Communicating clearly within your assigned work group and maintaining accurate production documentation.
- Ensuring a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
Qualifications
We are looking for a reliable professional with a solid foundation in manufacturing. The requirements are:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 3 years of Manufacturing experience (experience working directly with machinery is highly preferred).
- Must be able to use measuring instruments, gauges, and scales.
- Must be mechanically inclined with the ability to think quickly and make precise in-process adjustments.
- Must demonstrate the ability to follow procedures and drawings while maintaining stringent quality systems.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift 50 pounds without assistance.
Shift Hours: Friday – Sunday, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
