Key Responsibilities
As a key member of our transport team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our fleet. Your duties will include:
- Safely transporting goods from our Blackwater depot to various local and regional mine sites across the Bowen Basin.
- Conducting pre-start checks and ensuring all vehicle and load requirements comply with company and legal standards.
- Applying and verifying load restraint in strict accordance with guidelines to ensure safe transit.
- Completing all necessary run documentation and compliance reporting accurately and on time.
- Operating as a professional representative of Qube, maintaining clear communication with dispatch, site personnel, and the wider team.
- Adhering rigorously to all ‘Be Safe’ policies, procedures, and site-specific safety protocols.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- A current, unrestricted MC Driver Licence.
- Proven prior road train experience in a similar operating environment.
- A solid understanding of load restraint guidelines and a good mechanical aptitude.
- The ability to pass a Coal Board Medical (training and support can be provided for this and Standard 11 certification if needed).
- A strong safety mindset and the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Must be locally based in or around the Blackwater region.
