Key Responsibilities
As our Metal Roofer (Lead Hand), you will be responsible for leading projects from start to finish, ensuring they meet our high standards for quality, safety, and efficiency.
- Take charge of metal roofing installations, repairs, and replacements, supervising the team to ensure all work is completed to specification, on time, and with impeccable craftsmanship.
- Accurately measure, cut, and install a variety of metal roofing materials, including steel, aluminium, and copper, following architectural drawings and technical specs.
- Be the on-site champion for Workplace Health and Safety (WHS), ensuring all activities comply with regulations, building codes, and our company’s strict safety protocols.
- Work flexibly alongside the team on tile roofing projects when required, sharing your expertise and contributing to a collaborative work environment.
- Keep the worksite clean, organised, and hazard-free, and conduct quality checks to ensure every job meets our commitment to excellence.
Qualifications
We are looking for a qualified and proactive tradesperson who is ready to lead by example and grow with our business.
- A minimum of 3 years’ qualified experience as a Metal Roofer is essential.
- Proven Lead Hand or supervisory experience, with the ability to guide and support a team effectively on-site.
- Strong practical skills with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality in every task.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural drawings and technical specifications.
- A solid understanding of relevant Australian building codes, regulations, and WHS standards.
- A flexible and team-oriented attitude, with a willingness to work on both metal and tile roofing projects.
- A valid driver’s licence and reliable transport are required for travel to sites across Sydney.
