Key Responsibilities
In this apprenticeship, you’ll work directly with our lead technicians to learn all aspects of the trade. Your key duties will include:
- Assisting with the installation, maintenance, and service of a wide range of security systems, including CCTV, alarms, access control, and intercoms for various clients.
- Learning essential on-site skills such as running and terminating cables, basic system programming, and completing neat, professional installations.
- Helping to test and commission new systems, as well as performing basic fault-finding and troubleshooting under supervision.
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe work environment on every job site, strictly following all workplace health and safety guidelines.
- Completing job documentation and service reports accurately, and providing professional, courteous service to our customers at all times.
Qualifications
We are seeking a candidate with the right attitude, reliability, and eagerness to build a trade career.
- A current driver’s licence (or demonstrated progress towards obtaining one) is essential, as the role involves travel to various sites.
- A valid Construction Induction Card (White Card) or the willingness to obtain one immediately.
- The ability to pass a police check and confirmation of full working rights in Australia.
- A genuine interest in technology and electronics, strong teamwork and communication skills, and the physical capability for hands-on, manual work.
- While not required, any basic technical knowledge, previous trade exposure, or current enrolment in a relevant course is a definite advantage.
