Key Responsibilities
In this essential role, you will be a key contributor to the hospital’s hygiene standards, ensuring a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
- Perform thorough cleaning services across all departments, wards, and public areas of the hospital.
- Safely handle and use chemicals and cleaning substances according to established procedures.
- Identify and report any issues related to cleaning services or potential safety hazards.
- Assist in maintaining hygiene by decontaminating surfaces after clinical waste has been removed by clinical staff.
- Work collaboratively within a team to deliver consistent, high-quality cleaning outcomes.
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who are committed to contributing to a healthcare environment. The successful applicant will have:
- Availability to work within a 24/7 rotating roster as required.
- A valid Working with Children Check and a current Police Check.
- Full immunisation status as required for healthcare settings.
- A positive attitude and a genuine drive to provide strong customer service.
- A caring nature and a genuine interest in supporting people in a healthcare environment.
Previous experience in a healthcare cleaning role is highly regarded but not essential for the right candidate.
