Have you got a keen interest in automotive or machinery parts and are looking for a foot in the door to a stable, long-term career? We are looking for a motivated and organised individual to join a busy parts department in an entry-level Parts Distributor role. This is a fantastic opportunity where on-the-job training will be provided. If you have great customer service skills, a proactive attitude, and want to build your expertise in a technical field, we encourage you to apply.

Company Overview

CT Labour Hire and Recruitment specialises in connecting skilled people with great companies across a range of industries, including building, engineering, and manufacturing.  Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be the vital link between inventory and customer needs. Your day-to-day tasks will include:

  • Supporting inventory management by helping with stocktakes, receiving new stock, and maintaining organised storage areas.
  • Maintaining accurate records in the company’s data and inventory management systems.
  • Providing excellent customer service over the counter, via phone, and email, building positive relationships with clients.
  • Contributing to the smooth daily operations of a fast-paced parts department.

Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with a great attitude and a willingness to learn. You will need:

  • Strong computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office. Experience with inventory or parts database systems is essential.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, as you will be dealing directly with customers and technicians.
  • A proactive, hands-on work ethic and a strong commitment to being a reliable team player.
  • A current forklift licence is preferred but not essential for the right candidate.
  • While previous experience as a Parts Interpreter is ideal, it is not a requirement, as training will be provided for a candidate with the right foundational skills.
  • The ability to provide two past employer referees with current contact details.

This role is more than just a job; it’s a career starter with real potential. You will receive:

  • Comprehensive on-the-job training in parts interpretation and proprietary inventory systems.
  • A long-term placement with a leading company in a stable and essential industry.
  • A clear pathway for skill development and career advancement within the organisation.
