 Key Responsibilities

As a Pharmacist with MedPharm, you will be a trusted healthcare provider ensuring safe and effective medication therapy. Your essential duties will include:

  • Accurately interpreting, preparing, compounding, and dispensing prescriptions while ensuring dosage accuracy and screening for drug interactions.
  • Providing expert medication counseling to patients, including instructions on use and potential side effects for both prescription and OTC medicines.
  • Maintaining strict compliance with all Guam and federal regulations, including DEA controlled substance protocols and perpetual inventory management.
  • Completing third-party insurance claims and all necessary pharmacy documentation with precision.
  • Providing concise, evidence-based drug information to healthcare providers and patients.
  • Supervising pharmacy support staff, prioritizing workflow, and ensuring the accuracy of all dispensed medications.
  • Upholding the highest standards of patient confidentiality, safety, and professional ethics.

Qualifications

This role requires a fully licensed professional with specific credentials and a proactive attitude. Mandatory requirements include:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or Bachelor’s of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited program.
  • A current, valid license from the North American Pharmacist Licensure Exam (NAPLEX).
  • The ability to obtain a valid Guam Board of Examiners for Pharmacy (GBEP) license and pass the Guam Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Exam (MPJE).
  • Minimum of 2 years of retail pharmacy experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of pharmacy law, DEA/FDA regulations, and patient safety practices.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to multitask and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  • Must be willing to relocate to Guam, U.S.A., within three months of hire.

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and perform pharmacy tasks for up to 90% of a shift, with occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
