Key Responsibilities

This practicum is a hands-on learning journey designed to prepare you for a career in community pharmacy. Under pharmacist supervision, you will be involved in:

  • Developing and enhancing direct communication skills with patients, employees, and healthcare professionals. Assisting with patient counselling on drug therapy and OTC products.
  • Gaining practical knowledge in disease state management and patient counseling. Observing and participating in MedsCheck reviews under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
  • Learning the essential skills to manage a retail pharmacy, including inventory, workflow, and customer service in a fast-paced community setting.
  • Applying academic learning to real-world scenarios, preparing you to be an effective and confident future pharmacist.

Qualifications

We are looking for motivated pharmacy students who are eager to learn and grow. The ideal candidate is:
