We are looking for a motivated Mechanical Technician to join our dynamic team in Landsdale. This is a hands-on workshop role where you’ll service and overhaul a diverse range of mechanical equipment, including lighting towers, generators, and pumps. Key Responsibilities
In this varied and technical role, you will be key to maintaining our reputation for quality service. Your responsibilities will include:
- Servicing, repairing, and completing overhauls on a range of mechanical equipment (lighting towers, generators, pumps, engines) in our workshop.
- Performing diagnostics on diesel engines and mechanical systems (training provided for specific product lines).
- Aligning pump ends to drive systems and connecting/testing pump equipment.
- Providing internal and external technical product support and completing onsite commissioning when required.
- Processing all reports, job cards, and paperwork accurately and efficiently.
- Ensuring all customer work is completed to the highest standard within agreed timeframes.
- Managing your own time and workload effectively with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
To be successful, you will need:
- A formal trade qualification as a Mechanic (Auto, Diesel, Plant, or equivalent).
- A current driver’s licence.
- A competitive hourly wage ranging from $20.00 to $26.00 per hour, based on experience.
- Proven mechanical expertise and a strong problem-solving ability.
- High energy, a tenacious work ethic, and a disciplined, self-managing approach.
- The ability to learn quickly, think on your feet, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Comfort using computers for reporting and system-based tasks.
- Excellent relationship-building skills and a strong customer service focus.
