Key Responsibilities

You will be the guardian of our guests’ comfort and privacy, with duties that include:

Providing twice-daily cleaning and meticulous upkeep for 15-20 staterooms, including bed-making, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing bathrooms and verandas, while replenishing all linens and amenities.
Offering personalized guest services such as laundry pickup and delivery, ice service, and shoe shining, always maintaining confidentiality and a professional demeanor.
Conducting thorough inspections of each room, reporting any maintenance needs through our shipboard systems and ensuring all fixtures and appliances are in perfect working order.
Strictly adhering to all Public Health, safety, and environmental protocols, including the correct handling of cleaning chemicals and waste separation procedures.
Participating in key operational events like embarkation and disembarkation luggage duties and attending daily team briefings to align on service standards and guest needs.
Proactively assisting in other hotel departments as needed and maintaining an unwavering positive attitude, flexibility, and impeccable personal grooming according to Viking’s uniform standards.

Qualifications

We are looking for hospitality professionals who embody our values of excellence and care. The ideal candidate will possess:

A minimum of two years of professional experience as a Stateroom Steward/Stewardess or in a similar high-standard housekeeping role, preferably within the premium cruise industry or luxury hotels.
Proven experience managing a high volume of rooms (15-20) with twice-daily service, without compromising on quality or attention to detail.
Solid English communication skills to interact effectively with guests and crew, and a guest-focused, service-oriented personality.
The physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods and handle items weighing over 50 lbs as part of daily duties.
Comprehensive knowledge of public health, sanitation policies, and safe chemical handling procedures.
A professional appearance in line with Viking’s standards, including no visible tattoos.
