Key Responsibilities
As a U-Box Customer Care Driver, you’ll be at the heart of our moving and storage service. Your day will involve a dynamic mix of driving and hands-on work:
- Safely operating a flatbed truck to transport U-Box storage containers to and from customer homes and local businesses.
- Skillfully operating an 8,000 lb propane forklift or a truck-mounted forklift to load and unload containers securely.
- Providing friendly, courteous, and professional service during every customer interaction, ensuring a positive experience.
- Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintaining a clean driving record.
- Adhering to all safety protocols and regulations while handling equipment and customer goods.
Qualifications
We are looking for a dependable individual who meets the following requirements:
You Must Have:
- A valid Canadian Class 3 or Class D driver’s licence with an Air Brake Endorsement.
- A clean driving record and the ability to pass a criminal background check.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- The physical capability to perform the job, including moving items weighing up to 50 lbs and working both indoors and outdoors in various conditions.
- A strong commitment to safety and a willingness to follow all required precautions, including using provided protective gear.
The ideal candidate will be a people-person with a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and an eagerness to learn. Mechanical aptitude or previous experience with forklifts is a significant asset, though training is provided.
