Key Responsibilities

  • Receiving and Issuing Goods: Receive and issue goods, ensuring the accuracy of dimensions, weight, and carton counts match the accompanying documents.
  • Physical Inspection: Check physical cargo upon receiving and during handovers with contractors, verifying condition and quantity.
  • Cargo Handling: Label pieces, perform piece counts, and take photographs during cargo unloading to maintain accurate records.
  • Issue Notification: Notify Customer Service and the lane operator immediately when discrepancies or damage are found in shipments.
  • Operational Compliance: Follow lane operators’ instructions for daily cargo receiving and ensure all operational processes comply with company and regulatory standards.
  • Value-Added Services: Conduct value-added services for customers, such as repacking, testing report preparation, and other special handling as needed.
  • Documentation: Ensure timely handover of documentation among the terminal, office, and customs building to support smooth processing.
  • Quality Control: Monitor the quality of daily warehouse operations, including trucking and warehouse systems, to maintain high standards.
  • Shipment Monitoring: Track shipments to ensure they meet delivery schedules and update daily reports accordingly.
  • Customs and Billing Support: Prepare shipping documents for customs and billing purposes, supporting the team with accurate paperwork.
  • Forklift Operation: Complete forklift operation training as needed and operate equipment safely (experience preferred).
  • Additional Duties: Perform any other assignments from management as required to support warehouse operations.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Forklift experience is preferred but not required training can be provided.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail.
  • Team player mentality with the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed.
  • Comfortable with physical tasks, including lifting, labeling, and cargo handling.
  • Basic computer skills for updating reports and documentation.
