We’re looking for a Warehouse Material Handler to join our team in Roanoke, picking orders, building stable pallets, and keeping product moving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. What You’ll Be Doing

  • Fulfill Customer Orders: You’ll retrieve specific products and quantities as instructed by pick tickets or computer screens, working efficiently to meet order deadlines.
  • Build Stable Pallets: Stack cases of product onto pallets in a safe, stable manner that can withstand transport without damage.
  • Transport Product via Pallet Jack: Move pallets of stacked product to different areas of the warehouse using a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) – Pallet Jack – safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain Warehouse Cleanliness: Assist with housekeeping tasks as assigned or needed. A clean warehouse is a safe warehouse.
  • Perform Daily PIT Checks: Complete your daily equipment checklist and alert management to any issues you discover.
  • Correct Mistakes When Identified: If a checker finds an error in your picks, you’ll correct it promptly and accurately.
  • Adapt to Different Work Areas: Throughout the day, you may move between different roles or areas. Flexibility is key.
  • Support Dynamic Operations: Perform miscellaneous activities as directed to keep the warehouse running smoothly in a fast-paced environment.

What We’re Looking For

  • Physical Capability: Ability to work in a fast-paced atmosphere while walking and repetitively lifting 30 lbs, with occasional lifts up to 75 lbs.
  • PIT Certification: Must have Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) Certification for Pallet Jack.
  • Experience: Knowledge acquired through up to 12 months of work experience.
  • Team Player: Ability to collaborate within a team environment and coordinate efficient warehouse processes.
  • Adaptability: Ability to move between different work areas throughout the day and meet minimum expectations for each.
  • Computer Literacy: Ability to read and interpret instructions from a computer screen.
  • Attention to Detail: Must be able to differentiate between package types and ensure accuracy.
  • Environmental Tolerance: Ability to work in a noisy, non-climate-controlled environment—hot in summer, cold in winter.
  • Self-Starter: Intentional about taking initiative and proactively seeking out value-add opportunities.
  • Flexibility: Schedules and hours change with the demands of the business. You need to be adaptable.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Additional experience or certifications are a plus

Schedule and Pay

  • Location: Roanoke
  • Schedule: 2:00 PM start time
  • Pay Range: $17.00 – $18.40 per hour, depending on experience
