FedEx Supply Chain is seeking a Parcel Manifest Specialist to join our Mail Operations team. You’ll be responsible for ensuring parcels are accurately manifested, properly sorted, and ready for tendering to USPS or third-party carriers within strict timeframes. What You’ll Be Doing
- Fill Prepared Parcel Orders:Â You’ll receive orders from the CMOP and fill them according to customer instructions, making sure every parcel is accounted for.
- Perform Parcel Manifesting:Â Scan each parcel, weigh it accurately, apply the correct postage label, and prepare shipments for distribution to the appropriate vendor.
- Ensure Accountability:Â You’re responsible for every parcel that passes through your station. Accuracy and attention to detail are essential.
- Identify and Sort Mislabeled Parcels:Â Spot cross-scanned or mis-labeled items and set them aside for investigation. Catching errors early prevents bigger problems.
- Sort and Prepare Shipments:Â Help organize parcels for outbound distribution, making sure they’re ready for the next step in the process.
- Load Outbound Conveyances:Â Get shipments loaded safely and efficiently for transport.
- Report Issues:Â If you notice systemic problems or defective materials, you’ll report them to the Shift Supervisor or Lead promptly.
- Check Equipment:Â Before starting work, ensure all equipment is in proper operational condition.
- Maintain a Clean Work Area:Â Keep your workspace and equipment tidy and orderly. Safety and efficiency start with good housekeeping.
- Follow Safety and Security Policies:Â Every task should be done with safety in mind. You’ll follow prescribed procedures without exception.
- Operate Material Handling Equipment:Â Use rolling carts, pallet jacks, or forklifts as required for the job.
- Perform Other Duties as Assigned:Â Flexibility is part of the role. You’ll pitch in where needed.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: 0–2 years in a warehouse environment entry-level candidates are welcome
- Technical Skills:Â Familiarity with computers and basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Organization:Â Ability to work well under pressure and meet performance standards
- Background Check:Â Must successfully pass a National Agency Check with Written Inquiries (NACI). You’ll need REAL-ID compliant identification documents for this process.
- Customer Focus:Â Customer service driven you understand that accuracy and timeliness serve the customer
- Teamwork:Â Strong team player who works well with others
Physical and Cognitive Requirements:
- Ability to follow policies and procedures
- Ability to read, write, and interpret information
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel
- Ability to sit, walk, or stand for the duration of the shift
- Visual acuity to perform essential job functions
- Full range of motion throughout the warehouse environment
- Ability to lift/carry items up to 50 pounds
