Key Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll be the go-to expert for fabrication and repair, moving where you’re needed most. Your core duties will include:
- Performing high-quality welding using various techniques to meet the specific requirements of each task.
- Accurately reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and plans to follow precise dimensions and specifications.
- Safely operating a range of equipment, including basic hand tools, air tools, hand hoists, and forklifts as required.
- Strictly adhering to critical safety protocols, including performing proper machine lock-out/tag-out procedures before any maintenance or repair work.
- Providing essential support across different plant areas, taking direction from your supervisor to keep operations running smoothly.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly handled and stored.
Qualifications
To join our team, you’ll need:
- Proven experience and skill in welding with a strong understanding of different techniques and materials.
- The physical capability to perform demanding work, including standing for long hours and frequently lifting up to 50 pounds.
- The ability to read technical plans and follow detailed instructions with a keen eye for accuracy.
- Experience or certification in operating forklifts and using common hand/power tools safely.
- A solid commitment to workplace safety, with knowledge of lock-out/tag-out procedures being a significant advantage.
- A reliable, adaptable mindset and the initiative to work independently or as part of a crew on varied tasks.
