Key Responsibilities
In this essential role, you will be the expert managing our cold-store logistics. Your key duties will include:
- Safely and efficiently operating forklifts within our freezer and yard areas.
- Performing precise high-stacking of pallets in racking systems with unwavering attention to safety.
- Accurately loading and unloading trucks for dispatch and receivals.
- Ensuring correct stock rotation and placement to maintain product quality.
- Upholding strict freezer hygiene, housekeeping, and food safety standards.
- Completing daily equipment checks and proactively reporting any hazards.
- Working closely with the logistics and operations teams to meet daily targets.
Qualifications
You are the right person for this role if you have:
- Proven, recent experience operating forklifts in industrial freezer or cold-store environments.
- Demonstrated skill and confidence in safe high-stacking practices.
- A current forklift licence (an F endorsement is highly regarded).
- An excellent understanding of Health and Safety protocols in a demanding physical environment.
- The ability to work accurately and efficiently under time pressure.
- A team-focused attitude with clear communication skills.
- Flexibility for shift work, including early starts or evenings as production requires.
