An established utility provider is seeking an experienced Transmission Cable Technician to support high voltage infrastructure operations in Hong Kong. Key Responsibilities

Assist senior technicians in carrying out transmission cable jointing and sealing end assembly work across high voltage systems
Support installation, operation, and maintenance of transmission cable system accessories and alarm systems
Perform cable fluid treatment and feeding activities in coordination with jointing and maintenance tasks
Assist engineers in testing transmission cable systems and supporting technical project work
Conduct routine cable patrols to identify and prevent underground cable damage
Interpret technical drawings, manuals, and operational procedures to support accurate work execution
Ensure all activities are performed in line with safety regulations and operational standards

Qualifications

Applicants should have completed HKCEE or DSE with passes in English and Chinese. A recognized Craft Apprenticeship in Cable Jointer Power or equivalent qualification is required. Candidates must have at least five years of relevant experience in power cable jointing work at 132 kV or above. Strong technical knowledge in high voltage cable systems is essential. The role requires individuals who are self motivated, detail oriented, and capable of working both independently and within a team. Basic English comprehension and the ability to interpret technical documents are necessary. A valid driving licence for Class 1, 2, and 18 is considered an advantage.
