If you’re a reliable cleaner or someone reliable who wants to learn and you’re tired of being treated like an afterthought, read on.
Company Overview
Jim’s Cleaning is Australia’s largest cleaning franchise, but the St Lucia operation is locally owned and independently run. That means you get the backing of a national brand established systems, consistent work, recognised name—without the impersonal, corporate runaround.
We’re not a subcontractor mill. We don’t “offer” ABN roles and pretend it’s employment. You’re on our books, paid through payroll, with superannuation paid on every hour. Your manager is local, contactable, and actually gives you feedback. It’s a simple model, but you’d be surprised how rare it is in this industry.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll be out in the field across Brisbane’s southern suburbs, Logan, and Ipswich, completing a mix of domestic and commercial cleaning work. We’ll match you to the jobs you prefer where possible.
- Domestic and house cleaning regular weekly and fortnightly maintenance cleans
- Commercial and office cleaning after-hours or daytime depending on site requirements
- Retail cleaning storefronts, showrooms, hospitality venues
- Deep cleaning and spring cleans one-off intensive work, often pre- or post-renovation
- Bond and end-of-lease cleans detailed, inspection-ready finishes for real estate agents and landlords
We aim to accommodate preferences if you’d rather not do bond cleans or prefer residential over commercial, let us know. We’ll do our best to build a roster that works for you.
Qualifications
We’re looking for reliable, detail-focused people with their own transport. Experience is helpful but not required.
You must have:
- Valid Australian driver’s licence (minimum P1 – probationary licence is fine)
- Reliable, roadworthy vehicle – any car that starts, stops, and gets you to jobs safely
- Police check – current or willingness to obtain one prior to commencement
- Minimum 2 days availability per week (more if you want full-time hours)
- Good attention to detail – you notice what others walk past
- Reliable, punctual, professional attitude – our clients expect us on time, every time
Experience is helpful but not essential. We provide full paid training on our systems, equipment, and quality standards.
