Public Relation Officer Wanted In Singapore

We are looking for a Public Relations / Stakeholder Engagement Officer with at least three years of experience to join our upgrading project team. You will be the primary point of contact for residents, statutory boards, government departments, and subcontractors, ensuring feedback is managed professionally and works are executed smoothly. This is not a behind-the-desk administrative role. You will liaise directly with HDB, PUB, Town Councils, MOM, and other agencies, arrange defect inspections, coordinate certification works, and maintain the reputation and goodwill of the company. If you have strong communication skills, proven experience in stakeholder engagement, and the resilience to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced upgrading environment, this role offers responsibility, variety, and the satisfaction of seeing projects through from feedback to completion.

Company Overview

We are a established contractor or project management firm specializing in public housing upgrading, redevelopment, and infrastructure improvement projects under various statutory boards and government departments. Our work directly impacts the living environment of Singaporean residents, and our reputation depends on how professionally we manage every interaction—from formal correspondence to casual corridor conversations.

Unlike corporate communications roles, our PR function is deeply operational. You will not just draft press releases or manage social media; you will be on the ground, coordinating defect inspections, attending site meetings, and ensuring residents feel heard throughout the upgrading process. If you are looking for a role where stakeholder engagement is not a support function but a core operational responsibility, you have found it.

Key Responsibilities

Stakeholder Feedback and Case Management

  • Handle verbal and written feedback from residents, property managers, and other stakeholders through emails, letters, and face-to-face meetings.
  • Record, track, and follow up on all feedback cases until full closure, ensuring timely responses and satisfactory resolutions.
  • Maintain accurate and organized case files, documentation, and correspondence records.
  • Arrange defect inspections in response to feedback, coordinating with contractors and site supervisors to ensure issues are addressed promptly.

Liaison and Coordination

  • Liaise with various Statutory Boards and Government Departments including HDB, PUB, Town Councils, MOM, and other relevant agencies to ensure smooth execution of upgrading works.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, and site teams to resolve technical issues, access constraints, and scheduling conflicts.
  • Organize and coordinate certification works within the upgrading precinct, ensuring all necessary inspections and approvals are obtained.

Communications and Reporting

  • Design and prepare monthly newsletters (as required) to update residents and the public on work progress, upcoming activities, and project milestones.
  • Prepare planned and ad-hoc public relations reports for weekly management meetings and client updates.
  • Draft official correspondence, responses to feedback, and information materials for residents.

Site Office Administration

  • Oversee day-to-day site office administration, ensuring smooth documentation, filing, and office operations.
  • Maintain the reputation and goodwill of the company through professional, courteous, and responsive stakeholder interactions.
  • Perform other duties consistent with the role as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Diploma or Degree qualification in Public Relations, Communications, Mass Communications, Marketing, Business, or a relevant discipline.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the Public Relations field, with demonstrated stakeholder engagement responsibilities.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing PR strategies or programmes.
  • Experience liaising with government agencies, statutory boards, or public sector clients is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with public housing upgrading, construction, or infrastructure project environments is an advantage.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and interpersonal skills able to interact professionally with residents, government officials, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in additional local languages or dialects is an advantage for resident engagement.
  • Ability to handle sensitive feedback with tact, patience, and problem-solving orientation.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple cases and priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation, reporting, and newsletter layout.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently, and comfortable in a fast-paced site office environment.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Saturday, 5.5 working days per week.
  • Full-time, site-based role.

Benefits and Perks

  • Competitive monthly salary ranging from $3,000 to $4,000 SGD, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
  • Full-time, permanent employment with a established upgrading and infrastructure contractor.
  • High-impact stakeholder engagement role. Your work directly affects resident satisfaction and the company’s reputation.
  • Exposure to government agencies and statutory boards HDB, PUB, Town Councils, MOM building valuable public sector networks.
  • Varied responsibilities. No two days are identical; you will manage cases, coordinate inspections, draft communications, and support site operations.
  • Meaningful work. You are not managing abstract corporate campaigns; you are helping residents navigate upgrading works that improve their homes.
  • Professional development opportunity. Experience in public housing upgrading PR is highly valued and transferable.
  • Site-based role with real operational involvement. You are part of the project team, not a remote corporate function.
